About the program

Plastic Surgery Deconstructed is a monthly webinar series created for medical students who are curious about or committed to a career in plastic surgery.

Through virtual talks with surgeons, residents, and mentors, we aim to share real-world insight, career guidance, and inspiration—helping to level the playing field so students from any medical school can learn, ask questions, and explore the specialty.

Each session features voices from across the training and professional spectrum—from academic surgeons and private practice innovators to senior residents and fellows—offering an inside look at their career journeys, surgical interests, and personal experiences. Topics span complex reconstructive cases, aesthetic surgery, health disparities, advocacy, research, and work-life balance.

Webinars are held monthly, with opportunities for live Q&A and open discussion. All sessions are free and open to medical students nationwide. The series provides valuable mentorship, education, and exposure to the many pathways within plastic surgery.

Join us to hear directly from those shaping the future of the field—and discover where your own path could lead. Sign up for updates, access our video library, and register for upcoming events.
